Long Way Home Adoptables is hosting its first “Living Well Festival” this Saturday, Sept. 17, in Downtown Bryan. The event, scheduled for noon to 6pm, is meant to celebrate how lives can change for the better when people commit to take care of an animal.
There will also be fun events for human members of the family, as well! There will be outdoor play for kids, and community workouts for adults. Causal, yoga, self-defense classes, and much more will be available! Livelier Productions is donating all the music for the event.
Vendors are still needed for the festival. Dog trainers, dietitians, massage therapists, dog treat makers, and local produce businesses are some of the vendors who may be interested. The deadline is Sept. 14 at noon. Visit www.mylongwayhome.org/adoptables to sign up.
The Aggieland Humane Society will be hosting a pet adoption event Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10am to 4 pm. They will be set up at Sterling Subaru, and the dealership will be covering most of the adoption fees. A local food truck will also be providing tacos to those who arrive early for the event.
Dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats will all be available to take home. The kennels are full, and Aggieland Humane wants to find homes for each of their animals! It is recommended that those wanting to adopt streamline the process by pre-applying online at www.aggielandhumane.org.
