Grimes+CountyThe Grimes County Poor Boys will host their annual benefit on Saturday, August 1, at the Grimes County Expo Center. A steak dinner will be served starting at 5:30pm and a Live Auction at 7:00pm. The proceeds from this benefit will go to the support of current and future projects.

Dinner tickets will be $15 per plate for adults and $10 per plate for children 12 years and younger.

A raffle drawing will be held after the Live Auction. Raffle tickets can be purchased at two locations: C & M Machining in Navasota – 5898 FM 3455, (396) 825-8139; The First National Bank of Anderson, Terry Licce (936) 873-2511.

Grimes County Poor Boys began with ten members of the community, each contributing $100 to buy projects at the Grimes County Fair. In addition, they give scholarships, contribute to Toys for Tots, and help with improvements and upkeep of the Grimes County Expo and Fairgrounds.
