The College Station Police Department is proud to announce the continued community partnership with Voices for Children in the honoring of fathers and father figures with a day of fishing at Cy Miller Pond. This family centered event will be held on June 18 from 8am to 2pm. It will feature fishing the freshly stocked pond next to the College Station Police Department, Texas Parks and Wildlife education stations, bounce houses, and police and fire department vehicles on display. In addition, food will be available for purchase through local vendors at the event.
A raffle, whose proceeds will go entirely to Voices for Children, will be held for the opportunity to win Academy gift cards, Bear Mountain gift cards, and Texas A&M University football merchandise. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for $5 each or five chances for $20. Winner(s) need not be present to win.
Those wishing to participate are encouraged to register at www.vfcbrazos.org. Registration is not required to participate. Those fishing with a child 17 or younger do not have to have a fishing license.
Cy Miller Pond is located next to the College Station Police Department, at 2611 Texas Ave. S.
