Camp Hearne: Remembering D-Day

Camp Hearne will host Remembering D-Day June 6. The event will feature new enhancements to the camp thanks to the efforts of several Eagle Scout candidates.

The Swingtime Big Band will perform music from the 1940s as “ground troops” – American, British, and German – on the Camp Hearne grounds. 

A special showing of Snapshots of D-Day, a digital exhibit from the National WWII Museum will be featured in the Camp Theater. You can also visit the WWII POW Camp Exhibit and walk the trails to the remains of prisoner-built amenities. The Scouts’ projects will also be on display.

Camp Hearne’s goal is to help keep America’s WWII legacy and fighting spirit alive.
