Voices For Children must raise $20,000 in just under six weeks to receive a matching grant from a private, local donor. Donate securely online at www.vfsbrazos.org.A local, private funder has offered to match up to $20,000 in donations to local non-profit Voices For Children of the Brazos Valley, but the match offer will expire in just under six weeks.

Voices For Children purchased its current downtown Bryan office space in January 2006 and has successfully paid down two-thirds of the balance to date. Retiring more of the debt through this generous matching grant will help the organization achieve its mission to provide a trained community volunteer to assist a child or sibling set who have been placed in the state's custody because of abuse or neglect.

Retiring more of the debt through this generous matching grant will help the organization achieve its mission to provide a trained community volunteer to assist a child or sibling set who have been placed in the state’s custody because of abuse or neglect. In an increasingly tight fiscal landscape, raising the matching funds will go a long way toward ensuring there are CASA volunteers working for each child’s needs as they are placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

By donating any amount during this matching grant opportunity, donors will double the support, stability and growth of the this vital organization that has assisted close to 500 abused and neglected youth over the past decade. Donations may be made at the VFC office located at 115 N. Main in Bryan or securely online at www.vfcbrazos.org before the October 15 deadline.
