KEOS Radio, 89.1 FM is doing a Spring Pledge Drive, “Serving Our Community,” from April 18 through May 5. KEOS is an all-volunteer, listener supported community radio in the Brazos Valley.
KEOS is committed to the creation of radio broadcasting by and for a public of diverse cultures, ages, income levels, and backgrounds, under-served and under-represented by other area media. The station also provides programming, access, and training to the community, with significant participatory opportunities to students of Texas A&M University, Blinn Community College and other area schools and colleges.
KEOS has special musical guests joining hosts of local programs in honor of the pledge drive:
–Sunday, April 20, Sunday Blues, 1-3 pm: Joey McGee will join host Jay Brakefield on Sunday Blues
–Monday, April 21, 10 am-noon: Owen Temple will be on “Bluebonnet Trail,” hosted by Jimmy Roberts
–Monday, April 21, 7-9 pm: ContraDiction will join hosts Ann Hart and Jennifer Wiginton on “Celtic Ceili”
–Sunday, April 25, 3-5 pm: Randy Pavelock will be on “Exuberant Melancholy,” hosted by Jay Brakefield
–Sunday, May 4, at 9:15 pm: The Showgoats will join host Stevo on “Sounds of the Beatles Expanded”
