Runners will be stampeding their way through Bryan/College Station on October 4 at 7:30am as the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History hosts its 6th annual Buffalo Stampede.
Athletes will have the opportunity to show off their skills by running the Half Marathon or 5K Stampede. The popular racecourse was improved last year, and runners will enjoy the UTAF certified course again this year. The Buffalo Stampede serves as a qualifier for other races.
The Museum is partnering with BOOMFIT to offer free personal training for four lucky runners. Like the Museum on Facebook and find details on how to enter. The final day to submit your entry is May 23. Winners will be notified by May 30. Four lucky winners will be given a customized training regimen starting June 16 that will include:
·Full support and fitness evaluation from Charlie Lima, Boomfit’s owner, physical fitness trainer and competitive endurance athlete
·16-week training program designed to get you to the finish line
·Customized daily training regime tailored for you
·Access to CrossFit Classes 6 days a week from 5am–6:30pm
·Daily training and race day nutritional guidance
The opportunity to take part in this training is open to anyone, Boomfit members and non-members. For non-contest winners email Charlie at Charlie@myboomfit.com for pricing and information.
