Have you ever wanted to know what a day in the life of a Deputy is like?

The Citizen Sheriff Academy begins March 21, with classes held each Tuesday until graduation on June 6. The classes are free and are from 6:30pm until 9:30pm. Participants will be able to tour Brazos County 911, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Brazos County Detention Center. During the twelve week course, you will learn about the different divisions within the Sheriff’s Office and get to see demonstrations from the tactical team as well as the Hostage Negotiation Team. Also, you will be able to go to the shooting range and have the opportunity to shoot some of the weapons used by the tactical team. If you are interested or have any questions, contact Nathan Dennis at ndennis@brazoscountytx.gov or (979) 361-4906.
