Dr. Andy Wilson and Dr. Lon Young of Caprock Emergency have donated six combat style 12 gauge “Mossberg” shotguns to Brazos County Precinct 1 Constable Office.

Dr. Andy Wilson and Dr. Lon Young of Caprock Emergency have donated six combat style 12 gauge “Mossberg” shotguns to Brazos County Precinct 1 Constable Office.

Due to the tragedy of what happened to Constable Brian Bachmann, Constable Jeff Reeves felt it was in the best interest of the safety of his Deputy’s and the well-being of the citizens of Brazos County to accept these shotguns.

Dr. Andy Wilson (also a Reserve Deputy Constable Pct. 1) and Dr. Lon Young (Medical Director of Caprock Emergency) stated: “After several high profile mass shootings in the media, and tragically many within schools, we want to contribute in any way possible to decrease the chance that this type of tragedy ever happens again. Part of that process in our opinion is properly equipping our Law Enforcement Community with the tools they need to do their job.”

“When we became aware that one of the closest agencies to many schools in our area did not have the tools necessary to confront a potentially better armed active shooter in one of our schools, we felt it was our responsibility and a matter of public health to step in and provide whatever we are able.  We appreciate the opportunity Constable Reeves has given us to give back to our community by supporting our local law enforcement!”
