Crestview Retirement Community announced that it has earned a 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the highest rating achievable from the government agency. Only 15 percent of nursing homes in Texas achieve a 5-star rating.
“We are honored to receive this recognition. Our skilled nursing staff works diligently to ensure that we deliver the highest quality of care to our residents, so it’s especially rewarding to see them receive this high level of recognition for their efforts,” said Matthew Currie, executive director of Crestview Retirement Community.
The Five-Star Quality Rating System was created by CMS in an effort to help consumers compare nursing homes more easily. The agency’s Nursing Home Compare website provides an easy way to compare nursing homes in any area of the country. It lists the quality ratings of one to five stars for each nursing home in the search area. Those who achieve the 5-star rating are considered to have quality much above average. The 5-Star rating for Crestview was an overall rating of the community’s skilled nursing care. The community also received a 5-Star rating for Quality Measures.
