The 24th annual Bryan Rotary 10 Business Performance Awards will recognize the top 10 fastest growing, successful small businesses in the Brazos County for their achievements and for their significant economic impact on the Brazos Valley community.

“The fundamental message of rotary is service above self. I believe there is no shortage of individuals here in our community who exemplify that ideal,” said Joe Hill, president of the Bryan Rotary Club. “One of the six areas of focus for rotary international is to grow local economies. The Bryan Rotary 10 Business Performance Awards Program is a true reflection of our desire to strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders.”

The award ceremony was established in 1994 by the Bryan Rotary Club, in cooperation with the Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Anco Insurance is the primary financial underwriter for the awards program.

“The chamber is thrilled to be able to help recognize these growing, thriving businesses like we do every year, and we recognized that growing and thriving business is the engine that fuels a prosperous community and fuel prosperous schools, churches, non-profits, and the arts. We are excited to be a part of that,” said Glen Brewer, president of the B/CS Chamber of Commerce.

The awards luncheon will take place on June 14, from 12pm-1:30pm, at the College Station Hilton Hotel.

Nominations for the awards are open from Feb. 17 and will end at 5pm on March 18. The forms for award nominations are available online at www.byran-rotary.org or for pick up at the B/CS Chamber of Commerce or Anco Insurance.

The award ceremony will also present the Bryan Rotary Club/Anco Insurance Award for Lifetime Business Achievement, which was introduced in 1998 and underwritten by Anco Insurance Company. The award will be given to an established Brazos County business and will recognize them for longevity, customer service, community involvement and financial growth. Nominations for this award are limited to members of the Bryan, College Station, and Aggieland Rotary Clubs.
