Health For All, in partnership with The Rose Mobile Mammography Program and Pink Alliance, will be providing onsite mammograms at the Health For All Clinic.
The Mammogram Event will take place at the Health For All Clinic located at 3030 E. 29th Street, Suite 111 in Bryan on Friday, July 17, from 8am-5pm.
The Mammogram Event is open to the community and the deadline to register is Friday, July 10. There are a limited number of appointments, so don’t delay in making yours today.
Breast cancer is the most common non-skin cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death in women. Early detection improves the chances of breast cancer being diagnosed at an early stage. The Mammogram Event will provide uninsured, low-income women ages 40 and up who live in the Brazos Valley, the opportunity to get screened for breast cancer.
Health For All hopes to raise awareness of the importance of women aged 40+ to get regular mammograms, because it could save their lives. Health For All also wants to thank the community for supporting annual fundraisers like the BRA ART EVENT. The BRA ART EVENT raised more than $24,000 and all of the proceeds went to Health For All for women’s health.
“We understand that with increasing healthcare costs and growing numbers of uninsured, many simply cannot afford the cost of screening tests,” says Liz Dickey, executive director at Health For All. “We are proud to work with partners like The Rose and Pink Alliance to ensure all women can access a complete spectrum of care.”
