The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History will host their annual Spring Mini Camp program from Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 14, 9am to 3pm.
Students ages 4-12 will embark on an exciting adventure and travel through five historical time periods that helped shape today’s America. History will come to life as children participate in interactive lessons, crafts, and games.
Kids will learn the answer to these questions: When was it acceptable to eat meals with your hands? What is a “Hooverville”? When was the game Monopoly most popular? What was the average age of a soldier in the Civil War? Do we still play pioneer games today?
Each day is a stand alone day – you may register your child for one day or for all five. Topics to be covered are by the day: Monday, March 10 – Colonial America; Tuesday, March 11- American Revolution; Wednesday, March 12 – Civil War Days; Thursday, March 13 – America 1890s-1920s; and Friday, March 14 – America in the 1930s.
