Understanding the importance of the animal and human bond and the benefits each receive from each other, Project Unity is inviting pet parents to stop by Project Unity on Friday, June 24, for National Take Your Pet to Work Day. They hope by opening their office up on East 29th Street that they will set an example and other businesses will do the same in the future.

They encourage the community to bring their vaccinated, sweet pets to Project Unity between 10am and 5pm. They will provide pet treats and tours of Project Unity every hour on the hour. Donations are welcome and all pets can be entered to win prizes!

Take Your Dog to Work Day was first celebrated in 1999. This June 24 marks the 18th year of the event. It was first created by Pet Sitters International to encourage employers to experience the joys of pets in the workplace for one day to support their local pet community. It is now a nation-wide event, with businesses and people participating from across the country.
