The Third Annual SuperHero Fun Run and Walk is on Sunday, Oct. 30. Come dressed as your favorite SuperHero and run, or walk, through the trails at Austin’s Colony Park in Bryan. There will be costume contests for adults, kids, and pets so dress your superhero best! Safety Pup from the Bryan Police Department and HEB Buddy will be there to add to the fun. This is a family–friendly non-timed event.

The event will take place at Austin’s Colony Park and Trails at 3pm.

Voices for Children’s Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers advocated for 203 abused and neglected children from Brazos, Burleson, and Grimes counties last year, navigating 64 through the overburdened child welfare system and into permanent homes. The CASA volunteer has just one child or sibling group to attend to which prevents children falling through the cracks of the larger and often broken foster care system. Children who have a CASA spend on average seven fewer months in foster care. CASAs help children find their safe, permanent, and nurturing homes quickly. This is not a fundraiser, but an event to raise awareness about how Voices for Children’s CASAs are superheroes for children in foster care in the Brazos Valley.
