Sponsor level members begin registering April 11, family level members on April 18, and Student Senior Citizen, Individuals, and Dual level members start registering on April 25. Open registration begins May 2. A 50 percent deposit will save and confirm your place in the camp session. Parents can register their children, ages 4 through 12, for one week or for the whole summer.

Utilizing non-traditional teaching techniques, museum artifacts & art, and fun-filled interactive activities, experienced teachers create customized plans for each day, corresponding to weekly themes. This year’s themes include: Our Galaxy & Beyond, Wild about Nature, Young Engineers, Dino Discoverers, Monkey Business, Legends & Lore, Animal Architects, and Transportation through Time.

Facilities include classroom areas, a Discovery Room, Museum galleries, and a 40-acre park, all used to enhance children’s learning experience. To ensure personalized instruction, classes are grouped by age and kept small, with a teacher to student ratio of 1:10.

Week 10, August 14 through 18, is Summer Extension Day Camp, allowing campers to register for a single day. Each day of week 10 focuses on a different topic from the Magic School Bus Film Series:  Decomposition (“Meet the Rot Squad”), Sound (“In the Haunted House”), Seeds (“Goes to Seed”), Cells (“Goes Cellular”), and Symbiosis (“Takes a Dive”).

Camp fees are $155 per week for members and $175 per week for non-members. Summer Extension Day Camp fees are $45 per day for members and $50 per day for non-members. Before-camp care runs from 8am to 9am at $25 per week. After-camp care runs from 3pm to 5:15pm at $50 per week. (Days can be prorated at $5 per day or $10 per day).
