The Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of their “Reds, Wheats & Blues” Festival, an evening of shopping, wine tasting, micro-brewed beer sampling, and live blues music that will take place in the midst of the Christmas shopping season.
The event will be held in Downtown Navasota on Dec. 16 from 4pm to 11pm. A wide variety of wines and beer will be available for sampling at the various merchants in downtown, along with food trucks, art displays, beer making demonstrations and blues music on three stages until 7:30pm.
The festivities then move indoors to the Chandelier Room for the main event performance by the feature band, Randy Pavlock and Twenty Four Seven. Pavlock performs Texas blues and has a wide following. The band will be promoting their latest single, “She’s Getting to My Head,” which was just released and is getting substantial FM and online air play. The main concert will begin at 7pm.
“The Reds, Wheats and Blues Festival will carry on the long tradition of Navasota blues music, while also showcasing our diverse and unique local shops,” says Johnny McNally, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. “We intend for this to be a fun, safe festival that becomes an annual event for us.”
Support for this event comes from the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley and the City of Navasota. Tickets are now on sale and include access to all festival activities. Tickets may be purchased through the Chamber of Commerce website (www.navasotagrimeschamber.com) and the City of Navasota’s tourism website (www.visitnavasota.com) or may be purchased at the event starting at 3:30pm.
