Every journey begins with that first step. Join the National Alliance on Mental Illness on Saturday, Nov. 5 as the annual 5k Fun-Run/Walk takes place. This is NAMI’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising event of the year.
Your participation helps fight the stigma against mental illness, and the contribution ensures that NAMI can provide their classes, programs, and resources free to the Brazos Valley community.
Participation in the event is free. NAMI encourages you to register and raise donations family members, friends, and co-workers. All pre-registered walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a t-shirt on event day.
The 5k Fun-Run/Walk will be held at Tiffany Park in Bryan. The event will begin with participants coming at 7:30am to grab registration packets and meet with teammates. The start time for the Fun-Run/Walk is at 9am.
The online registration site charges $1 per person to register. To register for the Fun-Run/Walk, visit www.namibv.org/event-registration. For more information on the Fun-Run/Walk or NAMI, visit www.namibv.org.
