Downtown Bryan Association will be hosting their monthly First Friday on March 7. Kick off the evening with a free jazz concert held in the Palace Theater, starting at 6pm. Sponsored by Allen Honda and Mix 104.7, the Rudder High School Jazz band will take the stage first, followed by local favorite, Razz, who will play well into the evening. The Arts Council is sponsoring the children’s classic movie, The Phantom Tollbooth, which will begin at 7pm in Sale Park. The movie is free and movie watchers are encouraged to bring their blankets and lawn chairs. Food will be available from many Downtown Bryan restaurants to enjoy while watching the movie.
Head to the north end of Downtown Bryan to be the first to catch the newest installation of ArtFill. Art designed by second year architecture students at Texas A&M will fit in and around two 10′ x 10′ metal cubes. The unveiling will begin at 7:30pm followed by a special MicCheck Slam Poetry competition.
In addition to these special events, your favorite Downtown merchants and restaurants will be open for all of your shopping and dining needs, some even featuring a guest musician or a special sale.
