On Nov. 4th, the Bryan College Station community will have the opportunity to participate in the first ever Superhero 5K and 1K. The Superhero Fun Run, hosted by Aggieland Realtors, is meant to raise money and awareness for Bryan’s local nonprofit Voices for Children.

The 5K and 1K route will take place at the beautiful Lake Walk Town Center near the new Stella Hotel. The event starts at 8am with the 5K for adults, followed by the 1K for kids at 9am. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and run in their favorite superhero or villain costumes.

According to Karen Pollok and Carla Henderson, owners of the Aggieland Realtors, the Superhero Fun Run is a fun, exciting, and healthy way for their organization to inspire the community and to advocate for innocent children.

After the races, there will be a dance party for the kids and an awards ceremony for best costumes. There will also be food trucks at the finish line for hungry runners. All proceeds from the Superhero Fun Run will benefit Voices for Children.

Registration for the Superhero Fun Run is open at $20 for the 5K and $10 for the 1K. Packet pickups will be held at the Real Estate Gallery on Friday, Nov. 3, from 5pm to 7pm and at The Lake Walk Town Center on Nov. 4 from 7:30am to 8am. To register, visit www.vfcbrazos.org/superhero.
