Local support group meetings are held the second Friday of each month at 7pm. This Friday’s special Extravaganza is designed for gluten intolerant individuals and for businesses that would like more information about serving this demographic.Aimed at both those who are gluten intolerant – and businesses interested in serving this segment of the population – The Gluten Intolerance Group of the Brazos Valley is hosting a Gluten Free Extravaganza June 8 beginning at 6:30pm at the St. Joseph Education Annex.

The event is designed to educate anyone interested in identifying resources for people with gluten intolerance, sensitivity or Celiac disease. There will be a short presentation on the challenges of dining out with gluten intolerance including what happens when those with gluten intolerance are accidentally exposed to gluten.

Visitors will have a chance to speak with presenters at different booths after the short presenation.

The first event of its kind, participants will learn more about businesses that support a gluten free diet while businesses interested in serving this demographic will learn more about meeting the needs of the gluten free community.
