Long Way Home, a local animal rescue center, will be hosting the Inaugural Pars4Paws Golf Tournament on April 25 at the Philips Event Center at Briarcrest in Bryan.
Long Way Home was created to provide the last hope for animals displaced from their homes, deemed “unadoptable” by other rescues, or that suffer from an illness. We primarily rescue animals facing euthanasia in kill shelters based on space restrictions (the shelter being “full” or over capacity), breed restrictions (banned breeds or Bully breeds), or health issues (severe, chronic, terminal, or treatable).
Some may become sanctuary animals because they need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide, and some are made available for foster or adoption after their health or behavioral issues are addressed. We accept dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
The golf tournament will kick off with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and will be a four man scramble. The cost is $125 per golfer or $400 per team and includes greens fees, cart fees, range balls, continental breakfast, longest-drive contest, closest-to-the-pin contest, hole-in-one contest, and first entry into putting contest.
