Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity will celebrate their 200th home on Nov.12 at 9 a.m.The Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity will be celebrating its 200th home on Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. The festivities will take place at 1313 Emil’s Court in Bryan; drinks and treats will be provided. For 21 years Habitat for Humanity has been lending a hand to families in need and now they would like you to help them congratulate the Hernandez family and remember the other 199 homes that came before. The event is sponsored by current and former board of directors, and will thank the hundreds of businesses and volunteers that have shown their support for Habitat for Humanity over the years.  The organization has partnered with the community to provide families with a healthier home and improve the quality of life for children in the Bryan/College Station area. Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 800 people in the local community and continues to lend a hand up, not a handout. For more information about the event and how you can get involved, visit the Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity website at www.habitatbcs.org or call (979) 823-7200.
