The Bryan College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau celebrates the 33rd annual National Travel and Tourism Week, May 1-7, which unites communities each year to celebrate how travel promotes American jobs, economic growth, and personal well-being.

While the travel industry celebrates travel and tourism for a week, the Bryan/College Station CVB celebrates the entire month.

Friday, May 6, CVB will host a Kentucky Derby-themed Community Celebration at Wolf Pen Creek Park Amphitheater from 6 to 8pm. The event is free and open to the public and features fun activities for the entire family, as well as giveaways. Following the event, the College Station Parks and Recreation Department will show “Seabiscuit” as part of the Movies in the Park series.

On May 9-13, the CVB will be giving away prizes over social media each day. Prizes include an Aggieland War Games Party Pack for 10 people, a $50 Ground Shuttle certificate, and a one-night stay in a suite at the Hilton Hotel in College Station. Follow the CVB on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and keep an eye out for the giveaways.

On May 25 the CVB will recognize individuals and businesses that have contributed to the tourism industry at the Hospitality Celebration luncheon at the Hilton Hotel. Tickets are $20.
