Applications are now being accepted to the Citizens University, Police Academy and Fire Academy. All programs are offered through the City of College Station.
Through Citizens University, you’ll talk to those who build budgets, construct capital projects, plan for growth, keep the lights on, and neighborhoods safe within the City of College Station. Classes begin January 27 and runs through April 14, with no classes scheduled during spring break (March 10). Sessions are conducted Mondays from 7 to 9pm. CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY
Citizen Police Academy is an interactive program designed to offer citizens an inside look at the College Station Police Department and their local criminal justice system. Sessions are held Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the College Station Police Department for 11 weeks each spring and fall. CITIZENS FIRE ACADEMY
This 11-week learning program is designed to increase awareness about the College Station Fire Department’s mission and daily operations. The course will cover a variety of hands-on topics. CPR and First Aid instruction will also be offered. Classes will be conducted on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:30pm from February 20 to May 14 at city fire stations and the Brayton Fire Training Field.
