The Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce will host their 2017 Annual Banquet, featuring Keynote Speaker General Mark A. Welsh, Dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, on Monday, Nov. 13, at the Hilton College Station. The event is sponsored by the City of College Station.
The Annual Banquet officially serves to welcome new Board Chairman Crystal Dupre, with The Eagle, and to recognize outgoing board members, including Immediate Past Chairman David O’Neil, with Wells Fargo, for their service to the Chamber. The banquet will also allow the Chamber to recognize its Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year.
The Chamber will recognize Alvin W. Jones, former Brazos County Judge (1995—2002) as Citizen of the Year. Each year, the Citizen of the Year is chosen based on long-term civic contributions to the development and quality of life of the B/CS community. Hans Hammond, with Branding Iron Management, will be honored as the 2017 Volunteer of the Year. The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in volunteer service to the B/CS Chamber of Commerce and to our community.
