The Brazos Valley Coalition for the Homeless will be hosting a free Trafficking Training on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments. Learn about the impacts of human trafficking physically and psychologically, myths and facts of trafficking, social media and technology influences, case studies, and sample protocols for law enforcement and medical professionals working with trafficking survivors. Local, state, and national resources will be on-hand to discuss their programs and services. This training will be presented in two segments with the morning sessions focusing on community influences, and afternoon focused on law enforcement and medical professional’s role in helping survivors of all ages.
Registration and check-in will begin at 8am for the morning sessions and 12:30pm for the afternoon sessions. Each session is free and open to the public, however seating is limited and registration is required.
