The Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce will host the 2015 Annual Banquet, featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Eli Jones ‘82, the newly named Dean of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, on Monday, November 2 at the Hilton College Station.
The Annual Banquet officially serves to welcome new Board Chairman Robert (Bobby) Bisor, with the Texas A&M University Provost Office, and to recognize outgoing board members, including Immediate Past Chairman Rich White, of HEB, for their service to the Chamber. The banquet will also allow the Chamber to recognize its Citizens of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and the Ambassador of the Year.
Dr. Eli Jones, who earned his bachelor’s in journalism, his MBA and his PhD in marketing from Texas A&M University and was a 2009 recipient of Mays Business School’s Outstanding Doctoral Alumni Award, began his leadership at Texas A&M on July 1.
The Chamber will recognize Chuck and Tedi Ellison, with The Ellison Firm, as the 2015 Citizens of the Year. Each year, the Citizen of the Year is chosen based on long-term civic contributions to the development and quality of life of the B/CS community.
Dr. David Ruesink, Texas A&M University Professor Emeritus and former College Station City Council member, will be honored as the 2015 Volunteer of the Year. The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in volunteer service to the B/CS Chamber of Commerce and to our community.
