Bulb collecting adventures have turned into a life-altering quest for Chris Wiesinger, president and owner of The Southern Bulb Company. Chris tells of searches for heirloom bulbs across the south in "The Bulb Hunter & Heirloom Bulbs" seminar where he will share bulb collecting stories, horticultural information and landscaping ideas using these beautiful, but not forgotten, elements of days and places gone by.

             Jim Johnson, AAF, AIFD, TMFA and distinguished lecturer at Texas A&M, will present “Seeing is Believing,” how to create floral designs with natural and unexpected materials. From weathered branches to barbed wire, Jim will show you how to see beauty in the composition of everyday elements.

Patty Leander, Travis County Master Gardener, TXMG Vegetable Specialist and Texas Gardener Contributing Writer will present “Fall Vegetable Gardening.” The milder days of fall provide an ideal gardening environment for vegetables and gardeners alike. Patty will provide tips for preparing, planting, tending, harvesting and enjoying a bountiful fall garden in Central Texas.

“Earth Systems – Soils” by Kayron Dube, DDS, Brazos County Master Gardener

Soils, will teach how soils play a significant role within the context and balance of earth systems, including our gardens. Kayron will discuss the origin, make up and properties of soils, giving insight into the myriad players and feedback systems that constitute the soil food web.
